Global Service and Trade selected as comprehensive uniform and gear outfitter for Liberian military

Fredericksburg, VA, June 1st, 2006:  Global Service and Trade (GST) formally announced today that the company has been awarded a major contract by DynCorp International and PAE Government Services Inc., on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, to be the sole comprehensive provider of all uniforms and equipment (excluding FFL items) for the newly forming Liberian Military. The value for the initial order was $2.6 million dollars. The final value of the open ended contract will be determined when the total size and force composition of the new Liberian Military is finalized. Additionally, GST has been selected to oversee the development of inventory and issuing operations for the Liberian Military. Shipment of materials to Liberia originates primarily from GST’s Fredericksburg Virginia main warehouse for issue to the first class of soldiers which starts July 20th, 2006.

The supplies, primarily of United States manufacture, are already being shipped to Monrovia, Liberia site of the outfitting and training base. Global Service and Trade will have a Mobile Issue Team (MIT) based in Monrovia to facilitate distribution and inventory management of gear before the mid-July gear issue for the first military class. Gear being issued will include everything the modern warrior needs to perform in the African environment such as warm weather BDU’s, boots, covers, mosquito control supplies, body armor and more.  James Gay, GST President said, “We at GST are very excited and appreciative to have been selected as the supplier for this important and time-critical mission. This accomplishment is another validation that Prime Contractors take GST’s reputation as the world’s leading and most reliable police and military outfitter seriously. This is a credit to our staff’s expertise, and total commitment to customer satisfaction and service”.

Global Service and Trade has been outfitting police and military forces in the world’s hot spots for over a decade. Successful missions have been carried out in locations such as Haiti, Kosovo, Bosnia, East Timor and currently, in Iraq and in Afghanistan where GST has an established base camp.
